TATV Spotlight: Nullifying explosive threats for VIPs on the move

Increased concern over the safety of VIPs or strategic commanders on the move against drones or remotely triggered IEDs has seen investment in electronic warfare systems to defend against such threats.

In this spotlight we look at solutions being introduced by Sign4l, part of the UAE defence conglomerate Edge Group.

V-Protect, a radio frequency communication jamming system, and NavControl-G, a specialised counter-drone capability, look like they could become game-changers when it comes to protecting vital assets or personnel.

Waleid Al Mesmari, vice president programme management at Sign4l’s electronic warfare and intelligence cluster explains how the products - recently launched at the IDEX show in Abu Dhabi - nullify those threats.
