Posted 15 March 2021 · Add Comment

Canada's multinational training business, CAE, announced this month that it was spending just over a billion dollars on buying the military training arm of L3Harris at a multiple of 13.5. It is a mega deal for the training industry.

In this INSIGHT programme - where we dig deep into events, strategy and people in the aerospace and defence industry across Africa, the Middle East and South Asia, we talk to CAE’s Vice President of International Defence and Security, Marc-Olivier Sabourin.

Both L3Harris and CAE have been active in our emerging markets. So what does it mean for us? What does it mean for CAE and its global business? And how will customers benefit from the deal?

How too will the Gulf nations’ plans to 'localise' aerospace and defence business, affect CAE’s aspirations and opportunities.
