Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 Ten powers EgyptAir’s first flight with sustainable fuel

The flight from Seattle to Cairo is the longest flight using SAF conducted in a Boeing 787.

Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 TEN (TEN stands for Thrust Efficiency and New technology) engines were chosen by the airline to power the latest members of its growing fleet and will receive long-term maintenance support with EgyptAir’s selection of the Rolls- Royce TotalCare service plan.

The Trent 1000 has powered every variant of the Dreamliner since its entry into service and incorporates technology to enhance aircraft performance. This has helped the aircraft achieve 20 per cent greater fuel efficiency than previous-generation aircraft.
