Gulf Air, DHL, Texel Air and Bahrain Airport Services have signed agreements for participation in the November 2020 show while at the Paris International Airshow this week. They join many of the world’s leading aerospace companies whose presence underscores Bahrain’s value in providing access to strategically important markets across the Middle East.

Bahrain Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and deputy chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of BIAS, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed announced a major capital investment plan that will be undertaken prior to the 2020 show, with major upgrades planned across the facilities at the Sakhir Airbase, a purpose- built airbase that allows participating companies to display aircraft of all sizes across the static and flying displays.  A new layout plan will direct visitors through the exhibition hall which houses around 80 international companies from across the aviation supply chain.

“We’re very proud to have achieved ten year successful track record, with the Bahrain International Airshow now a proven platform for facilitating business generation for global companies in the Gulf region.  We’re looking forward to seeing greater numbers of leading-edge organisations aiming to secure opportunities throughout the Middle East’s growing and dynamic aerospace supply chain,” he said.

Amanda Stainer, chief commercial and partnerships officer for Farnborough International - co-organisers of Bahrain International Airshow, said: “The past ten years have seen us create a highly successful partnership with the Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications; we are delighted to have played a part in creating a unique Airshow in a location that offers unparalleled access to a fast-growing aerospace market.”
