MEBA2012: Now Sabena maintains the Airbus full range

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) A380 base maintenance rating received by Sabena Technics (stand 620) on its Bordeaux, France facility means that the company now holds base maintenance rating on every flying Airbus aircraft, including Beluga.

The new rating will allow the company to perform structural parts repairs in the field or in its workshops for worldwide operators, and to perform aircraft modifications and upgrades.

“Bordeaux is also home to our VIP completion centre, so we are now ready to offer our cabin modification and completion services on A380 aircraft,” said Rodolphe Marchais, chairman and CEO, Sabena Technics.

“2012 was a busy year for our quality department, with no fewer than four new aircraft capability developments,” he added.

“Our dedicated A380 hangar is already fully booked until the third quarter of 2014 and we are now ready to take orders for 2015 and beyond, for which we expect the demand for two, four and six-year checks to bring a sustained level of business,” explained Jean-Luc Fournel, COO customers of Sabena Technics.
