Jordan Aviation enter into partnership with UNICEF

Jordan Aviation and UNICEF signed a cooperation agreement to support Ma'An national campaign to reduce violence against children in schools, in Amman today.

Representatives from the Jordan Aviation, Ministry of Education, and UNICEF were present in the ceremony which was followed by a press conference.

Nasser Moeini, The UNICEF Acting Representative in Jordan said in his opening remarks: “We are very happy to see the active participation of the private sector in social developmental work. UNICEF is particularly thankful to Jordan aviation in its interest in supporting Ma’An Campaign.  UNICEF had more than 800 corporate supporters in 2008.  It ranked 3rd in 2008 Global Accountability report and was rated by the Forbes Magazine as a cost-effective organization.  We hope that corporations in Jordan will follow the example of Jordan Aviation.”

The Ma’An campaign is a national campaign to reduce violence against children in schools.  It is designed to reach all public and UNRWA schools in Jordan .  The campaign was launched in November 2009 with 4,500 educators and schools principals under the Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania.  

Captain Mohammad Khashman, CEO of Jordan Aviation Group, said: “We are interested in supporting the Ma’An Campaign to reduce violence, and contributing to the development of the educational and learning process in the Kingdom in view of the significance of the outputs of education in the economic and social development.”
