Abdulaziz Al Ali, Emirates Group executive vice president human resources said: "Women play a vital role in supporting the UAE's development, and their passion and skills will continue to help drive the nation's success. The theme of this year's celebration is in line with the UAE's aspirations to prepare for the next 50 years and women are hugely instrumental in shaping our collective future. At the Emirates Group, we will continue to provide a nurturing environment that supports the fresh perspectives and ideas of women, and champions their efforts and career goals in the workplace."

Maryam Bin Ismail, Emirates' Boeing 777 first officer said: "The beginning of the pandemic was very challenging. We took all precautionary measures to protect the health and safety of all those on board, including being tested for COVID-19 after every flight we operated. We also had to go through self-quarantine for 14 days after returning from each flight to ensure the safety and health of ourselves and our communities. There were many new procedures and adjustments that we had to make at work and in our personal lives. These experiences taught me that Emirati women are important pillars of UAE society, can achieve their goals, and there is no limit to what a woman can accomplish."
