Egyptair centre joins African Aviation Training Organization

Egyptair Training Center has joined the newly-established African Aviation Training Organization (AATO), which was launched in Nairobi in April in the presence of ICAO secretary general Raymond Benjamin.

“The fast growing demand for manpower in the aviation industry in Africa has led to the need for an association to foster cooperation and sharing resources among the aviation training organizations,” explained Egyptair Training Center’s Soumaya Badry.

“The objectives of the AATO is to develop a unified regional training policy to ensure the harmonisation and the standardisation of training, the designation of centres of excellence, and to develop training standards and guidelines for such designation.”
