Christian Scherer departs ATR following appointment as Airbus CCO

ATR has confirmed the statement issued today by Airbus appointing Christian Scherer as its Chief Commercial Officer with immediate effect.

 

The succession of Christian Scherer as CEO of ATR will be announced in the coming days.

In his time at ATR, Christian has made crucial contributions to the company, at commercial level as well as preparing the grounds for the future of ATR as a leader in regional aviation with an improved governance structure and further product developments.

Scherer said: “I have been incredibly lucky to have lead ATR for the past years and to set out the path for its sustainable future. I am convinced that the turboprop is part of the future of aviation and I thank all the ATR teams for their passion with which we make ATR the preferred choice to connect people and places regionally. I have truly shared this passion and hope to have contributed value to ATR and all its stakeholders.”
