BAG, which sits under the ADS Group umbrella, has a membership of around 200 companies of all sizes, whose products and services are required in the strategic planning, finance, design, construction, equipping, securing, management and operation of airports and air traffic control systems.

A number of companies have already signed up to be part of the Airport Show UK pavilion including: Arccan Shade Structures, ATG Access, Avtura, Bright Green Technology, CCD Design & Ergonomics, Cobham Flight Inspection, DW International, Dynatest, Indigo Vision, Logan Teleflex, Pollite, and TMS Photometrics.

Now in its 13th year, the Airport Show continues to attract the key players as well as new companies, technologies and stakeholders.

This year, the event will be co-located with the Global Airport Leaders’ Forum (GALF), which will attract more than 400 industry leaders, decision makers, executives and experts in the aviation industry. GALF aims to bring together airports, civil aviation authorities, airlines and industry leaders under one roof to foster partnerships, strengthen relationships and address global challenges and needs.

Alan Lamond, BAG vice chairman and aviation director at Pascall+Watson, is speaking at GALF on ‘airport expansion and upgrades to serve a growing market’.

BAG’s primary role is to help UK companies win business in airport and aviation developments (in the UK and overseas) and to help clients identify UK suppliers of goods and services that will meet their requirements.

The Airport Show will also introduce the ‘Airport Passenger Experience’, a feature dedicated to cutting-edge technologies that are being developed over the coming decade; the ‘Women in Aviation’ exhibit, that will highlight the role of women professionals in the global aviation industry and help to develop opportunities for women in the region; the ‘Innovation Podium’, where companies will showcase latest technologies and solutions; the Airport Project Showcase, where project developers will present their upcoming projects; and the SME Pavilion, a dedicated area for small and medium enterprises that will help nurture business leadership among young entrepreneurs and start-up companies.

Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, chairman of Dubai Airports and chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airlines and Group, and sponsored by Abacus Lighting, the show will be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
