AJW Technique unmasks new state-of-the-art oxygen mask test stand

AJW Technique, the maintenance hub for the AJW Group's component repair and overhaul service, has announced the addition of a new state-of-the-art fully automated test stand.

 

Following significant investment, the new test stand fully automates the testing of pilot and crew oxygen masks. Designed to adapt to various current and new generation mask types across all commercial and business aircraft, the stand simulates flight critical emergency oxygen flows so that common failure modes, such as leaks and regulator malfunctions, can be rectified.

The test stand allows customers to benefit from detailed troubleshooting, highly competitive terms and fast turnaround times, whilst streamlining their vendor administration through a single source.

Christopher Whiteside, President and CEO, AJW Group, said: “Following five successful years of growth, the addition of the test stand is part of an ongoing investment programme in AJW Technique to meet evolving customer initiatives. Our new test stand’s capability and rating allows us to provide our recognisable mark of quality across the aircraft supply chain worldwide.”

Gavin Simmonds, Chief Operations Officer at AJW Group, and General Manager at AJW Technique, added:

“With this new capability at AJW Technique, we are able to provide customers with a high capacity option focussed on cost reduction, including a fully overhauled part turnaround time of seven days. This will allow operators to make their available inventory more effective, and give trade businesses a greater stock turn throughout the year.”
