Taking place the 11-12 February 2019, the event has already attracted a large number of exhibitors keen to access the burgeoning aircraft interiors market in the region.

The global aircraft cabin interiors market has been predicted to grow from $26.02 billion in 2017 to $38.85 billion by 2020, at a CAGR of 8.35%, according to Markets and Markets. The current boom in fleet investment by Middle East airlines, including both new and retrofit aircraft needs, illustrates the importance of the region to the industry.

AIME will represent all sectors of the aircraft interiors market, including seating, galley equipment, connectivity, lighting and flooring, with many exhibitors returning to the show from previous editions.

“We attended AIME 2017 as visitors and decided to exhibit in 2018,” said Dirk Gundermann, Area Sales Manager,  Rudolf Wulfmeyer Aircraft Interior Gmbh, of the 2018 edition. He continued, “We have a lot of customers in the Middle East and it is good to meet them and stay in contact with them, so it is important for us to exhibit here.”

Along with Wulfmeyer, the many exhibitors already committed to the tenth edition of AIME include carpet suppliers Kets Tekstil, Beadlight LED lighting specialist, seating designer and manufacturer Acro Aircraft Seating and technical rubber experts Cooperstandard.

“We are really pleased with the plans for the tenth edition of AIME, and thrilled to see so many returning exhibitors from previous years,” said Caryn McConnachie, Aerospace Director of show organisers Tarsus F&E LLC Middle East. “With the current and future levels of fleet investment in the region, the show is the place to be for aircraft interior suppliers of all types.”

Research by the London School of Economics and Inmarsat Aviation has identified that by 2035, airline revenues could make an additional $30billion through inflight connectivity. With this in mind, AIME 2019 will again include the Inflight Middle East Pavilion, in partnership with HMG Aerospace, which will create a dedicated area for connectivity providers to demonstrate their offerings, in addition to hosting the sixth annual Inflight Workshop and Awards.
