ADA takes full control of former JV

The Abu Dhabi Aviation Group (ADA), the UAE-capital based aviation concern which owns the Middle East's largest commercial helicopter operation as well cargo airline Maximus Cargo and holds equity in the VIP luxury charter operator Royal Jet (50%), has now taken full control of its former consulting joint venture ADA Millennium.

ADA launched the consultancy JV in 2015 as part of a diversification strategy. It retained a majority – 51% ownership - choosing British consulting firm JCBA as its partner. The company provided consultancy services to Abu Dhabi Aviation, Etihad Airways, the Presidential Flight Abu Dhabi and Royal Jet and has been approved as an aviation consultant by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC).

ADA said whole ownership of ADA Millennium was completed in March this year to give the Group full management control of the company.

The new wholly-owned consultancy is being chaired by Mohamed Ibrahim Al Mazrouei. Mohannad Yousef Abdelhadi is its Managing Director and a Board Member.

Abdelhadi said the consultancy will now have a renewed focus on work in the Saudi Arabian marketplace and the Pakistan aviation industry. “Currently we are working on the first helicopter Part 121 Special Unscheduled AOC in Saudi Arabia,” he said. “Serious discussions are also ongoing with one well known international firm to have a joint venture in aviation/airports security business and training.”
