Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) and CSP - Abu Dhabi sign an MoU to strengthen collaboration and ensure smooth transactions between the two facilities.

The MoU promises to increase the cooperation between the two companies, directly benefitting the Abu Dhabi and UAE trade and supporting the Abu Dhabi Leadership vision 2030. The signing of MoU came in conjunction with the official inauguration of CSP Terminal – Abu Dhabi.

The two parties, ADT & CSP – Abu Dhabi, will facilitate a significant increase in the contribution to the non-oil GDP growth for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The agreement further seeks to ensure that customers can continue to enjoy the world class customer experience of Khalifa Port. Khalifa Port’s growing importance in local, regional and global trade is further cemented by its inclusion as the main regional hub of the Chinese Belt and Road initiative which is expected to be a substantial contributor to the overall growth of Abu Dhabi and the UAE economies as a whole.

The MoU was signed by Abdullah Al Hameli, Acting CEO of ADT and Capt. JU Weiping, director and general manager of CSP-Abudhabi and was witnessed by Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Chairman of ADT and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports and Captain Xu Lirong, Chairman of China Cosco Shipping Corporation.

Abdullah Al Hameli, acting CEO of ADT said: the signing of this MoU with CSP-Abudhabi is of key importance, not only to our two companies, but to the future success of Khalifa Port and our customers, the Abu Dhabi and UAE trade. Through close collaboration, we aim to significantly support the increase in contribution to the GDP growth of Abu Dhabi. This will be done in full support of the Abu Dhabi leadership vision and we expect that this agreement will serve as a spring board for jointly achieving new levels of excellence. I have no doubt that our work together will deliver admirable results well into the future.
