Abu Dhabi Airports took part in sponsoring the UAE Sport Talent Fund, which was launched in December 2018 by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Sports (GAS), Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi.

Abu Dhabi Airports’ sponsorship of the UAE Sport Talent Fund demonstrated the company’s commitment to social responsibility, and its ongoing support of community engagement programs. Through its donation, Abu Dhabi Airports supports developing and refining the abilities of the UAE athletes, so they can achieve their aspirational targets in the sports sector on a global level.

Mohammed Al Katheeri, senior vice president of strategy and communications at Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “Abu Dhabi Airports always strives to benefit the Emirati communities through supporting initiatives and adhering to its mission, which involves honoring our corporate and social responsibilities.”

“As the UAE Sport Talent Fund was created to support Emirati sporting talents, Abu Dhabi Airports is delighted to contribute to promoting health and wellbeing, along with promoting the sports culture in our society at all times,” Al Katheeri added.

Abu Dhabi Airports and other sponsors of the fund were honoured in a ceremony for the launch of the UAE Sport Talent Fund, which included key representatives of national and private institutions who supported the fund, in addition to businessmen who sponsored the fund individually.

The UAE Sport Talent Fund aims to create global partnerships with sports organisations in order to provide a suitable environment for athletes to nurture and develop their sports talent according to the highest international standards.
