Abu Dhabi Airports names South African winner of its World Routes Raffle competition

Abu Dhabi Airports has welcomed the winner of its World Routes Raffle competition to Abu Dhabi from Johannesburg at 05:20 GST this morning.

The competition, designed to highlight Abu Dhabi as a unique global destination, was launched during Abu Dhabi Airports’ participation in the 25th edition of the World Routes Development Forum held in Adelaide, Australia in September 2019.

The competition winner, Faith Nqobile Ndhlovu, arrived at Abu Dhabi with her family from Johannesburg, South Africa and was greeted by a hostess from the VIP terminal. The family was escorted to their Limousine, benefiting from fast-track immigration services and enjoying high quality dining options from the VIP lounge in the meantime.

During their stay in Abu Dhabi, they are planning to visit key attractions, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and a variety of other entertainment, cultural and culinary attractions.

Abu Dhabi Airports held the competition to enhance the global positioning of the city as a key airline destination among participants of the World Routes Development Forum. Held between 21 – 24 September 2019, the forum brought thousands of delegates from the aviation industry together, and offered an opportunity for Abu Dhabi Airports to showcase both the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its world-class infrastructure and services, in particular its upcoming Midfield Terminal.

Nqobile Ndhlovu travelled from O.R. Tambo Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa. Through participating in the conference, Abu Dhabi Airports demonstrated to a wide variety of airline executives, including those from sub-Saharan Africa, the benefits of partnering with Abu Dhabi Airports.
