Delegates will be addressed by Felix Lindner, head, Recurity Labs GmgH, on the subject of “Hacking Risks for Satellites”.

This session comes in the light of a number of high-profile developments in recent weeks that are aimed at tackling satellite jamming.

These include the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) move to allow governments to take "necessary actions" when foreign powers deliberately interfere with satellite transmissions (source: EBU) and the recent findings of a UK study that found that the frequencies used by GPS systems are being jammed routinely in the UK by individuals attempting to block the location tracking systems used by delivery trucks and anti-theft systems (source: Techworld).
