VIP travel and evacuations fuel charter company growth

Air Charter Service has reported that its Middle East operation experienced its busiest ever month in August, both in terms of turnover and number of charters.

Andrew Summers, who took over the role of ACS’s Managing Director Middle East at the start of this year, commented: “Our total sales reached almost US$ 9 million and we arranged 23% more charters, compared to August last year. This is due, in part, to a marked increase in our VIP clients chartering to Europe and North America, which is a positive sign for the industry as a whole. Our emergency response team has also been kept busy with corporations evacuating their workers from both Libya and Iraq because of the raised tensions in those countries. In total we extracted more than 2,000 foreign nationals from the two nations in August.”

Summers concluded: “We are hoping to push on from these figures and develop even more, we have a great team here and I am confident that we are able to continue this growth.”
