The maintenance, repair and overhaul of these additional CF6-80E1 engines will be covered under THY’s a 12-year OnPointSM solutions agreement, which was announced in November. The total value of the engines and OnPoint solutions agreement for the five CF6-powered A330s is more than $300 million (USD).

This order follows an order in November 2012 for CF6-80E1 engines to power its fleet of 15 A330-300 aircraft.

“This order for additional CF6-80E1 engines from THY is very important to GE Aviation and is a confirmation of the airline’s confidence in the performance and reliability of our engines,” said Muhammad Al-Lamadani, senior executive for European sales at GE Aviation.
