Turkish Airlines appoints new head of Dubai business

Turkish Airlines has announced the appointment of Rafet Alper Ozen as General Manager of the global carrier's operations in Dubai and Northern Emirates.

Ozen will be responsible for developing the business strategy for Turkish Airlines specifically for Dubai and Northern Emirates, and further strengthening the growth recorded by the airline.
Starting his career with Turkish Airlines in 2008 as a marketing and sales specialist for the Middle East Region, Ozen has held various positions with Turkey’s national carrier over the last six years. Most recently, he moved from Maldives where he was based for two years, as general manager and successfully launched the airline’s operations in the country. He also served as an after-marketing specialist and then deputy director for the airline in London.
Adem Ceylan, vice president of marketing & sales for Turkish Airlines in Middle East & Cyprus, said: “Dubai is one of the strong markets for Turkish Airlines, where we have recorded consistent growth. Turkey is one of the popular tourist and business destinations for residents in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Ozen has strong industry experience in the region, and will focus on building our presence in this key market.”
Ozen is a graduate in econometrics and quantitative economics from Uludag University.
