Technical Specialist - Flight Operations
Responsible for assisting the Flight Operations Support team & Chief Pilots Office with the safe, timely and accurate delivery of technical manuals, procedure reviews and system change management and compliance with applicable company and governmental regulation . Further responsibilities includes coordination with the internal stakeholders such as the Training Department as well as external stakeholders such as aircraft, engine and alternative equipment suppliers to ensure safe and optimised operations.
Responsibilities:
• Act as SME for Flight Operations technical publications which include AFM / FCOM / QRH / MEL / CDL & Supplementary SOP. This involves: o Screening and approval of manufacturer /supplier publication updates o Consistency checking and discrepancy clarification across all technical manuals & related Company documents o Proactive recommendation process for changes and adaptions o Proposals to enhance crew understanding or simplify procedures
• Ensure ongoing liaison & interaction with internal stakeholders across Safety, Engineering, Cabin, Operations and Quality.
• Develop and maintain Technical Bulletins for use by flight crew
• Develop and maintain specific operating environment recommendations to include test, maintenance and ferry flight procedures and requirements.
• Conduct adhoc post-flight paperwork reviews to ensure compliance with Company requirements
• Seek optimisation of costs in all aspects of the role and related activities
• Maintain awareness of industry activities including new software or hardware specifications, system developments and regulatory proposals or amendments. Represent the department and Company as required at conferences / events
