TAV receives Equal Opportunities Model certification

TAV Airports has fulfilled the requirements of the programme which was launched to promote female employment and prevent discrimination against women at the workplace.

Supported by the World Bank, the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGIDER) has the purpose to put an end to gender discrimination in business life.

TAV Airports successfully completed the independent auditing processes and received Equal Opportunities Model (FEM) certification.

TAV Airports VP – Human Resources Hakan Öker said: “TAV believes that increased participation of women in labor force is of significant importance for development and social progress. Accordingly, we strive to provide equal opportunities for all employees in all the countries that we operate at. We offer equal opportunities during all work processes such as recruitment and selection, personal and professional development, performance evaluation, promotion processes etc. In order to increase the participation of women at every level, we have a made a commitment to increase the number of women at the board to 25 percent in the following five years. TAV is committed to the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) and became a corporate member of Professional Women’s Network (PWN) Turkey. We are delighted to be certified by an independent audit company for our efforts to fulfill Equal Opportunities Model practices. We hope to set a motivating example to the companies that plan to carry out similar works.”
