Sukhoi rolls out Business Jets to Royal Thai Air Force

Posted 18 July 2016 · Add Comment

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCAC) has delivered two of its Sukhoi Business Jets (SBJ) to the Royal Thai Air Force, in a roll-out ceremony held at Sukhoi's base in Venice.

The aircraft, powered by the Leonardo-Finmeccanica Company, use advanced technologies and aerodynamics to ensure passenger comfort and operational efficiency.

This version of the aircraft is configured specially for the Royal Thai Air Force, differentiating somewhat from the company’s ‘VIP’, ‘Government’ and ‘Corporate’ configurations.

Both aircraft are configured to feature three sections, of varying comfort levels.

There is a VIP area, which seats four passengers, a business class area, which seats six passengers, and a passenger compartment which can seat 50 people.

Each section aims to ensure passenger comfort, and is equipped with communication technology and in-flight entertainment.

The delivery is a part of a contract awarded to Sukhoi by the Royal Thai Air Force in 2014.

“The SBJ provides premium level air service and demonstrates SCAC’s flexible approach to our customers’ preferences. It is a great honour for SCAC to have produced the VIP version of our aircraft for the Thai leaders and we are confident that our SBJ will be a success,” said Ilya Tarasenko, president, JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft.
