Duties / Responsibilities
Develop safety and non-safety critical software according to military and aviation standards. This will include reviewing system requirements, developing software requirements from system requirements, designing the software modules, implementing the software, generating test cases and procedures, generating relevant software life cycle data, performing software verification and validation activities, including Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA), Requirements Coverage Analysis (RCA) and Data Control and Coupling analysis (DCC). This position will also be required to conduct trade-off analysis. Furthermore, this position will be required to establish and improve company software engineering processes to accepted military and avionics standards, such as RTCA/DO-178B, MIL-STD-498, and IEEE/EIA 12207.

Qualifications
BSc in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
               
Experience
A minimum of 8 years experience in developing avionics software.         
               
Skills / Expertise
This position must have knowledge in military and aviation software development standards such as RTCA/DO-178B, MIL-STD-498, and IEEE/EIA 12207. Extensive experience regarding the full project lifecycle process is required. Excellent knowledge of C/C++ programming languages is required. Experience in HW/SW integration and testing. Experience in requirements management tools (DOORS). A familiarity with software configuration management principles and experience in using version control tools Subversion, CVS, Clearcase etc). Knowledge of ARINC 653 RTOS.
