Skyview is the grandstand arena specially created for the general public to watch the flying display of the Dubai Airshow.

While the trade show exhibition halls may be off-limits to non-aerospace professionals, Skyview offers the best way to watch the thrilling flying displays of new military aircraft, classic flying machines of commercial airliners and national aerobatic teams. Visitors should expect to see flying favourites such as the Emirates Airbus A380, the French Rafale and the Soviet MIG to name just a few.

Al Fursan, the UAE national flying team, will showcase their dare-devil skills and impress aviation lovers with billowing smoke in the colours of the UAE flag. Their equally impressive Italian counterparts, Frecce Tricolori, have also confirmed their flying participation; daily from 14:00.

Special permission from aviation authorities will allow amateur and professional photographers to take photos of the aircraft from Skyview. Nikon will be on-hand to lend zoom lenses to anyone who wants guaranteed spectacular shots.

With a convoy of food trucks and pop-up eateries, there's something for the foodies too. Yumtingz, Onion Caramel, Shake Shack Burgers and London Dairy Ice Cream are just some of the vendors selling delicious food for a fantastic picnic lunch in the November sunshine.

Kids can go wild with face painting and arts & crafts in the Funky Monkeys Playland or exhaust themselves bouncing on the inflatable games and activities provided by Just Fun UAE in ‘Kidz Korner’.

For adult speed demons and lovers of all things fast and furious, Red Bull will offer rides on their flight simulator, while Harley Davidson will be demonstrating their mean machines.

And for anyone who wants to know how to do barrel rolls, loop-the-loops, how to become a pilot, a flight engineer, or a general tinkerer of planes, the UK's RAF team will be available for selfies and chat.

Parking at the Dubai Airshow site is limited and charged at AED50 per vehicle. FREE shuttle buses are being provided between Ibn Battuta Metro station and the Skyview site at DWC from 10:30.

"It may sound like a cliché for an event organiser to say that there’s something for everyone, but at Skyview, there is. Fact" says Darren Haynes, Skyview marketing manager.

"Families, kids, couples, aviation geeks, aircraft photographers ... everyone is welcome to look to the sky and watch the amazing flying display, while enjoying an afternoon of our special on-ground Skyview entertainment." said Haynes.
