SITA named best airport provider

The award recognizes SITA for its 'Intelligent Airport' concept, which involves tracking, managing and sharing real-time information among all stakeholders in the airport ecosystem. This in turn optimizes airport processes and decision-making and helps airports become more proactive and predictive in enhancing the passenger journey. 

The EMAA also applauded SITA’s tailored solutions for regional airports and for using integrated IT solutions, which play a crucial role in optimizing airport processes. 

Hani El-Assaad, SITA president, Middle East, India and Africa, said: “SITA has operated at the forefront of the air transport industry for more than 60 years, and we are honored to be named the Best Airport IT Service Provider. SITA works with almost every airline and airport in the world, innovating with our partners to provide community value for the entire air transport industry.”   

This marks the third time SITA has received an EMAA as Best IT Service Provider. The company received the same award in 2010 and 2011.

Roger Nakouzi, Regional Sales Director, SITA, (left) accepted the "Best Airport IT Service Provider" award at the Emerging Market Airport Awards, 9 April in Abu Dhabi. The award was presented by Dr. Slayem Al Shamsi, Director, Institute of Applied Technology and Abu Dhabi Polytechnic.
