Sharjah International Airport (SIA) has honoured two passengers as winners of the customer opinion programme themed “Because We Care”.

The programme provides passengers and customers with an opportunity to express their opinion and feedback on the services and facilities offered to them so as to enhance the travel experience at the airport.

The move comes within the framework of Sharjah Airport Authority’s efforts to raise the customer satisfaction and ensure a better travel experience at the airport. It is also part of a comprehensive incentive which was recently introduced to boost relations between clients and passengers.

Sheikh Faisal bin Saoud Al Qassimi, Director of Sharjah Airport Authority, in the presence of Alya Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of Marketing and Customer Relations, honoured the winners of the programme including Suaad Ahmed and Budour Alnaqbi who were issued the tickets of Air Arabia.

He said, “The Authority is keen to launch initiatives that aim to enhance and upgrade the performance at the airport through communication among the clients so as to benefit from their feedback on the services and facilities offered to them. This can contribute to upgrading the services and boosting the status of Sharjah International Airport at a regional and international level”.

Alya Obaid Al Shamsi said the Authority puts the provision of high quality services to the customers on the top of its priorities, with a view to raising the level of customer satisfaction. She added that the programme is an exemplary tool to gauge the passengers’ satisfaction level. Al Shamsi noted that the Authority had implemented a number of proposals, while the feedback received by the programme has contributed to improving the airport services.

The programme “Because We Care” has had support from the airport management since it was launched by the Authority in January 2009. It allows the clients and travellers to express their views on the services and facilities offered to them, as well as their feedback regarding their experience at the airport.
