Saudia to receive first two B787-9s this week

Saudia will take delivery of its first two B787-9s on February 2, reports ch-aviation.

The aircraft are part of a quartet that will be delivered during the course of this year with a further four due next year. 

For purposes of crew training and familiarisation, Saudia will initially operate the aircraft on shorthaul routes to Dammam, Riyadh, and Dubai Int'l beginning March 1. Longer flights to Istanbul Atatürk, Casablanca Int'l, Manchester Int'l, and Paris CDG are currently scheduled to commence from April 1 onwards.
