The Saudi Arabian foreign ministry has input a series of measures following violent protests directed towards the country’s embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad.

The ministry has accused Iranian authorities of failing to prevent attacks that took place during deteriorating relations between the two countries after Saudi Arabia’s interior ministry announced that it had executed nearly 50 people, including a prominent Shia cleric, earlier this year.
