Saudi aircraft damaged after being hit by catering van

A Flynas aircraft was damaged after it was hit by a vehicle belonging to a catering firm in Saudi Arabia, reports Emirates 24/7.

The Airbus A320 was on the tarmac without passengers at King Khalid Airport in Riyadh when it was hit by the van owned by the Saudi Ground Services Company. 

Flynas spokesman Kahlid Al Dugaishir said: “The aircraft suffered from damage in its right wing. It was due to take passengers to Abha but there were no passengers on board at the time of the accident.”
