Salam Air is named as Oman's new budget carrier

Muscat National Development and Investment Company (ASAAS) has confirmed that Oman's first budget airline is to go ahead and will be named Salam Air.

The name was selected through a public poll in the Sultanate and is derived from the Arabic greeting.
“From the get-go, we were adamant about involving the general public in the process,” said CEO Khalid bin Hilal Al Yahmadi (pictured left)
“This is a clear reflection of the way we do business. We are transparent and our approach is to be part and parcel of the community with all of our multi-industry projects,” he added.
