SAFA open day drives recruitment growth for Saudi pilots

The first admissions open day event run by Saudi Aviation Flight Academy (SAFA) at the Academy campus in King Khaled National Park at Thumamah was voted a great success with interest from both Saudi nationals and expatriates across the kingdom.

The event was also attended by several prominent businessmen and royal dignitaries who took an introductory flight with SAFA’s Managing Director Capt. William Roe.

Roe said: “The overall event was a true success, judging by the response from the public and the comments from the dignitaries that attended.”

A total of 152 people registered online to attend the open house. 20 prospective students that qualified for admissions also took the free introductory flight offered by SAFA.

The visitors were interested in many of the programs offered by SAFA from private pilot to commercial pilot ratings.

Saleem Bava, head of admissions said that more open days will be held at SAFA campus and at other major cities in Saudi Arabia.
