Under this agreement, Sabre and the airline plan to work together to make Turkish Airlines’ comprehensive range of content in fares, schedules and inventory, available in the Sabre global distribution system, its travel marketplace.

Faruk Çizmecioğlu, chief marketing officer for Turkish Airlines, said: “The signing of a new full-content agreement between Turkish Airlines and Sabre is a logical continuation in our long-term cooperation. The transparency and openness of Sabre’s travel marketplace boosts confidence of millions of travel buyers worldwide. The Sabre travel marketplace will be an extremely valuable channel for us as the airline continues to grow, develop new products and enhance the customer experience.”

The deal means more than 400,000 travel agencies connected to Sabre in more than 130 countries will be guaranteed access to the airline’s seats and fare classes.

As part of this agreement, access to Turkish airlines domestic content is now secured for Sabre-equipped travel agencies based in Turkey.

Harald Eisenaecher, senior vice president, Sabre EMEA, said: “This deal is great news for travel agents because Turkish Airlines is one of the world’s fastest growing carriers flying to an increasing number of key business and leisure travel destinations.

“The core of our business is to provide a global travel marketplace where suppliers can efficiently sell products in order to maximize sales, revenue and customer loyalty. Combining more sales and revenue opportunities for suppliers with more choices for consumers and the travel agents who serve them is beneficial for everyone.”
