Russia to step up Iran connections

Russia is to increase the number of direct flights to Iran from five to nine per week according to the Russian energy minister

Flights from Russia can go to the Iranian cities of Tehran, Isfahan, Mashhad, Rasht and three other cities that Iran will confirm later, Alexander Novak told reporters after meeting Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi in Tehran this week.
Novak said that Iranian carriers can fly to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, Kazan, Ufa, Sochi and one other destination at the discretion of the Russian aviation authorities.
The minister added that the sale of Russian aircraft, vehicles and railcars to Iran was also discussed at the meeting.
