Qatar signs nacelle MRO deal with UTC

Qatar Airways has signed a 10-year agreement with UTC Aerospace Systems for nacelle maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for Airbus A330 aircraft powered with Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines and A320s powered by the International Aero Engines V2500.

The agreement covers scheduled and unscheduled MRO work as well as asset and on-site support. UTC Aerospace Systems will provide the maintenance services at its facility in Dubai.
“With nine nacelle MRO facilities worldwide and more than 1.2 million square feet (111,483.6 m2) of MRO shop space, we can provide valued customers like Qatar Airways with the speed and ease of receiving high-quality service at a location that’s convenient for them,” said Marc Duvall, president of UTC Aerospace Systems’ aerostructures business unit.
