Qatar Airways schedule top inflight entertainment for January

Ten new movie premieres from around the world will debut on Oryx Entertainment at the beginning of January, giving both adults and children an opportunity to watch the very latest global blockbusters. Animated films The Boxtrolls and The Book of Life will be popular with children, while adults can choose from movies such as A Walk Among the Tombstones starring Liam Neeson or Reese Witherspoon’s latest film, The Good Lie.

Keeping passengers on the edge of their seats will be the thrillers, The Equalizer starring Denzil Washington, Joe starring Nicolas Cage and No Good Deed, while comedy options Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day and Hector and the Search For Happiness will provide a lighter touch. The Skeleton Twins will also premiere on Oryx Entertainment in January 2015.

At the same time, Qatar Airways will be the only Middle East airline showing fans of the US television series New Girl the three latest episodes from the brand new season four of their favourite sitcom.

Qatar Airways will also be the only airline in the region to feature an exclusive feature-length documentary starring Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey and a documentary about the life of boxing legend, Muhammad Ali.

NOW: In The Wings on a World Stage chronicles the highly successful 2011 world tour of Richard III, which starred Kevin Spacey and was directed by Sam Mendes. The documentary gives a behind-the-scenes look at the show from its production phase to rehearsals in London, the tour (including footage from the Doha show), and the final performance in Brooklyn, USA – a must-watch for theatre buffs and Spacey fans.

I Am Ali is an intimate and heart-warming look at the man behind the legend. Told through exclusive, unprecedented access to Ali's personal archive of audio journals combined with touching interviews and testimonials from his inner-circle of family and friends, this is a fascinating documentary that includes interviews with his daughters, son, brother and former wife, plus legends of the boxing community Mike Tyson, George Foreman and Gene Kilroy.

Bollywood fans will also enjoy viewing 2014 action hit Kick starring Salman Khan – Qatar Airways will be the only airline in the Middle East to feature this movie in January 2015.
