Posted 17 October 2012 · Add Comment

Following the launching of the PBO Academy in the Middle East during May 2012 - and from the growing interest received from the UAE and GCC stakeholders - AVTECH ME/GCAS have decided to run the executive and operational PBO workshops for the second time in UAE, at the GCAS Centre, Al Bateen Executive Airport, Abu Dhabi (27-29 November).

The objectives with the workshops is to give insights on how Performance Based Operations can in short to mid-term increase capacity and improve operational efficiency with safety considerations in the region.

The workshops will emphasise on the benefits of SESAR operational concepts by tailoring the executed flight iterative trials and PBO operations to the regional knowledge and promising future implementations.

ICAO Global Air navigation Plan will be introduced as a new topic within the executive level sessions by AVTECH ME CEO Lars Lindberg, member of the ICAO WTSG group.

The workshops will be held at GCAS centre at Al Bateen Executive airport in Abu Dhabi starting on the 27th of November with the one day executive level followed by a two days operational level course from the 28th to 29th of November focusing on the benefit that can be achieved using such PBO operations in not only the UAE but also the GCC region.

It is hoped that the events will provide an opportunity to not only receive information on the ground and air building blocks of PBO but also interact with the other participants on how it can create capacity, efficiency in your airspace now and going forward.
