Oman Air welcomes its 500,000th member to the Sindbad Frequent Flyer Programme

Oman Air has welcomed its 500,000th member to Sindbad, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman's frequent flyer programme.

In a ceremony held recently, the Sindbad team welcomed the latest member, Fakhria Khamis Al Ajami, the renowned first Omani actress, at Oman Air’s Head Office. Al Ajami received a complimentary Gold Tier membership of Sindbad, which gives access to exclusive benefits such as extra baggage allowance, Business Class lounge access for the member and a guest, in-flight duty free discount, priority check in, bonus Sindbad miles and more. 

Paul Gregorowitsch, chief executive officer, Oman Air said: “We are delighted to have reached 500,000 members. Celebrating this milestone is a great achievement for us and is a reflection of the airline’s commitment to service to rewarding and forming genuine connections with our customers”. 

Named “Sindbad” after the legendary sailor who is thought to be from Oman, Oman Air’s frequent flyer programme’ is synonymous with travel, benefits, and excitement, and reflects the heritage and pioneering spirit of its namesake. 

The programme has members throughout the airline’s international network, who are able to progress through its three tiers – Gold, Silver and Blue. Every member enjoys access to a wide range of privileges and special offers.
