Oman Air to host IAAIA conference in Muscat

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, is hosting the 21st Annual Conference of the International Association of Airline Internal Auditors (IAAIA).

The IAAIA Annual Conference will be held at the Shangri-La Bar Al Jissah Resort and Spa in Muscat from 14th - 17th October 2012. The Conference’s inaugural function will be held on 15th Oct 2012, under the auspices of His Excellency Sheikh Nasser bin Hilal Al Mawali, Chairman of the State Audit Institution, and in the presence of high-ranking officials from both the public and the private sectors.

Mohammed Al Musafir, chief officer internal audit at Oman Air and Chairman of the IAAIA 21st Annual Conference, said: “It is with great pride that Oman Air is hosting the forthcoming 21st Annual Conference of the International Association of Airline Internal Auditors. This is a highly specialized area of Internal Auditing which plays a vital role in the success of the international aviation and transportation industry. Since 1991, the Annual Conference has become the key event for professionals from around the world to network, share experiences and discuss best practices.

The IAAIA is the only voluntary, non-profit organisation serving the aviation industry’s audit community and comprises of over sixty member airlines from around the world. Forty two of those member airlines will be represented at the event by around hundred delegates, who will enjoy the presentations and insights of a range of highly-respected industry experts.
