Oman Air scoops two awards in one day

Oman Air's customer service and business leadership have each attracted high praise on the same day, from two different organisations.

On Thursday November 13th, the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM) presented the MENA Customer Delight Award to Oman Air at a glittering ceremony held at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. The award recognised Oman Air’s “Exceptional and Fantastic Customer Service and Customer Experience." 

On the same day and at the same event, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman was presented with a Certificate of Excellence by the American Liberty University. The Certificate of Excellence was awarded in recognition of Oman Air’s “Outstanding Business Leadership and Exceptional Service to Society.” 

The ISMM award represents further confirmation of the extraordinarily high standards of service offered to customers by staff at Oman Air. Earlier this year, the company was presented with the Best Staff Service Middle East award at the Skytrax World Airline Awards. 

Meanwhile, the award made by American Liberty University comes as Oman Air enters its latest phase of strategic and ambitious expansion. Over the next three years, this will take the airline’s fleet size from 30 to 50 aircraft and give it one of the youngest fleets in the skies. In addition, Oman Air will be unveiling a range of exciting new destinations, including the ones that were recently announced, namely, Singapore, Dhaka and Goa, apart from the newly launched Manila, besides Jakarta that were launched on  December 2014. 

Oman Air’s chef executive officer, Paul Gregorowitsch, commented: “On behalf of everyone at Oman Air, we are delighted to receive these awards. As we expand our fleet and network, we are introducing new aircraft, new interiors, new seats and new technology. However, it is particularly gratifying that we have been recognised for the exceptional customer service we provide. I would like to thank the Institute for Sales and Marketing Management for presenting Oman Air with this MENA Customer Delight Award.
