Oman Air launches services to Dhaka

Oman Air has launched a new service to the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka from October 25, 2015.

Dhaka will be the airline's second destination in Bangladesh, and the service will initially offer four flights per week on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Frequencies will increase from 1st of December 2015, with flights on Mondays and Wednesdays being added to the schedule.

Fight WY-317 will arrive at Dhaka Shahjalal International Airport on Fridays and Sundays at 16.30 in the evening and depart 18.00. On Tuesdays and Thursdays Flight WY-315 will arrive at 20.05 and depart 21.20, offering convenient connections to various Middle East and European destinations.

Oman Air's Chief Operating Officer, Abdulrahman Al Busaidy, said: "Oman Air is very happy to start its second destination in Bangladesh, to the capital city of Dhaka. Flights between Muscat and Dhaka mark a significant milestone in enhancing trade, manpower, tourism and cultural exchanges between Oman and Bangladesh. A large number of Bangladeshis work in Oman and the connectivity offered by the new service will provide easy and convenient travel to their home country. We are sure the new service will be well received by the Bangladeshi expatriates resident in Oman, as well as by those residing in Dhaka."
