Flights from Muscat will depart at 09.00 and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 20.10, whilst flights from Kuala Lumpur will depart at 09.45 and touch down in Muscat at 12.30.

Oman Air currently offers flights between Muscat and Kuala Lumpur both as a sole operator and under codeshare partnerships with Malaysian Airlines and Sri Lankan Airlines. Customers have the convenience of choosing from up to six flights per day, each of which makes either one or two stops before arriving at its final destination.

From 21st June, however, customers will have the opportunity to fly non-stop and direct, reducing flight times and ensuring that Oman Air’s award-winning products and services can be enjoyed to the full.

Announcing the new service, Oman Air’s Chief Operating Officer, Abdulrahman Al-Busaidy, commented:

“Oman Air is delighted to be once again increasing the convenience and range of choices that we offer. Our new non-stop service between Muscat and Kuala Lumpur will be warmly welcomed by customers in both Oman and Malaysia, as well as those from further afield.

“Malaysia is a very popular destination with passengers from both Oman and locations throughout our international network. With the holiday season for many countries starting in June, and the Eid holidays following in July, we anticipate very strong demand for flights to Malaysia from throughout the Middle East and Europe.

“Furthermore, Malaysia’s position as a global centre for trade and finance means that Oman Air’s new service will serve our business customers extremely well.

“Ever since its launch, this route has been a particularly important one for Oman Air. It is both commercially successful and a vital symbol of the close relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and Malaysia. We look forward to building on these strengths for many years to come.”
