No Boeing 777X for Qatar

Qatar Airways is not interested in ordering Boeing's proposed new 777X wide-body jet, according to chief executive Akbar Al Baker.

The Qatar chief was asked whether the airline was looking at ordering the proposed revamped version of Boeing's 777 but told reporters "we are not interested in buying".

Qatar Airways has been one of several Gulf carriers being toted as likely candidates for the type which is expected to launch at the Dubai Air Show next month.
