NEWSFLASH: F22 will make Dubai debut

Organisers of the Dubai Air Show have just revealed that the F-22 Raptor is to make a star appearance at the Dubai Air Show November 15-18

Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney and the U.S. Air Force combined together   to produce the F-22 Raptor air dominance fighter.

The Raptor's unique combination of stealth, speed, agility, precision and situational awareness make it overwhelmingly effective in its combined air-to-air and air-to-ground mission capability.

However, earlier this year the US Department of Defense proposed to cease placing new orders, subject to Congressional approval, for a final procurement tally of 187 Raptors. None will be allocated for export.

The US Senate and House each passed 2010 budget bill versions without F-22 production funding.

Nonetheless the presence at the show will create great excitement and will be seen as a show-coup for organisers Fairs & Exhibitions.  The F-22 was expected to make a flying display debut at Paris air show in June but cancelled just before the show.
