New CEO for EgyptAir

EgyptAir has appointed a new chairman and CEO for its airline.

Captain Roshdy Zakaria, 55, was named as the new head of the airline having spent 30 years at the airline in key positions such as chief pilot examiner and instructor on A300-B4; B767 and B777. He also held the position of Deputy VP Flight Operation.

He has also been a very influential member of many strategic committees and led a number of projects in the transition period and headed the project setting and building the flight operation IOCC (Integrated Operation Control Centre) in 1999.

Captain Zakaria holds B.SC in Aviation and is married with one son and one daughter who are both pilots.

He reports to Captain Hossam Kamal, the Chairman and the CEO of  the EgyptAir Holding Company
