New Airbus fleet contract confirms long-term relationship between Gulf Air and AFI KLM E&M
Full-blown engineering partnership
Under the terms of the component contract, AFI KLM E&M is embarking on an engineering cooperation initiative by supporting the airline as it develops and enhances its own in-house component maintenance capabilities. “This contract confirms the excellent working relationship we have maintained with Gulf Air for many years,” emphasized Fabrice Defrance, SVP Commercial of AFI KLM E&M. Maher Salman Al Musallam, Gulf Air acting CEO, added: “Our longstanding, positive relationship with AFI KLM E&M and the quality of the work provided during our earlier contracts mean that we had no hesitation in entrusting our aircraft to AFI KLM E&M support teams while the competitive nature of the offer proposed for the new component support contract was an additional incentive to enter into this agreement.”
