The use of Italian born Alcantara fabrics, brushed aluminum, and carbon fibre provides a rich, clean, and technical feel that showcases the influence that Jason Castriota’s exotic automotive background has had on the overall SJ30 interior design.
SyberJet SJ30 is the world’s fastest, longest ranged light jet and has been long known for its speed, range, and efficiency, but the SJ30 cockpit mock up demonstrates a new attention to aesthetic detail and true craftsmanship .
Ergonomic changes include moving the throttles in the centre pedestal aft by seven inches to provide a bettwr position for the SJ30 pilot and access to the cockpit has been made easier. The side walls and ledges have been redesigned to provide maximum room. The engine control panel has been repositioned to the overhead panel to reduce clutter, increase pilot’s focus to the outside, and to enhance checklist flow. Ample storage, dual overhead map lights, dual USB ports, and a power outlet round out the functionality of the cockpit.
The SyberVision cockpit features four large 12-inch displays and includes as standard SmartView synthetic vision system (SVS), INAVTM moving map display system, standard IRS, electronics charts/maps, TCAS II, TAWS Level A, synoptic displays, dual flight management systems (FMS) with dual WAAS GPS/LPV, graphical flight planning, onboard weather radar, full EICAS, aircraft system controls incorporated into the MFD, electronic checklists, envelope protection, DME, ADS-B Out, and 0.3 nm RNP as well as support for FANS-1A, SmartLanding, SmartTaxi, SmartRunway, TOLD, and RVSM operations. Options include; CPDLC, XM weather, flight data recorder, cockpit voice recorder, dual charts/maps, HF radio, SATCOM, ADS-B In, enhanced vision systems, a second MFD, and other customer specified items.
