The range of the Legacy 450 has been increased to 2,500 nm, with four passengers; 200 nm farther than its initial specification. The Legacy 450 fuselage has been extended to provide more cabin space. The Company unveiled a new interior design for the Legacy 500 and Legacy 450 executive jets at NBAA, and exhibited a mockup of the Legacy 450 for attendees.

“The Legacy 450 will be the best-in-class mid-light executive jet,” said Ernest Edwards, president, Embraer Executive Jets. “We never stop listening to our customers’ input. Thanks to their invaluable feedback and our commitment to deliver distinctive business aircraft, both the Legacy 450 and the Legacy 500 will deliver an above premium travel experience to our customers.”

The Legacy 500 is a best-in-class midsize executive jet with a six-foot flat-floor cabin, and even wider than some aircraft in the super midsize category. Eight club seats may be berthed into four beds for complete rest in a cabin altitude at 6,000 feet, with the latest in-flight entertainment, communications and connectivity systems. The Legacy 450 shares the same cabin cross-section as the Legacy 500, and allows four club seats to be berthed into two beds.

Embraer also announced the selection of Rockwell Collins’ Head-up Guidance System (HGS-3500) and EVS-3000 (Enhanced Vision System), which will become the E2VS (Embraer Enhanced Vision) option on both the Legacy 500 and Legacy 450.
