The Middle East Business Aviation Conference 2010 is supported by the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA), the Middle East Aerospace Consortium (MEAC) and the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).

The conference is addressing the magnitude of growth being experienced in this sector and is set to take place at the Yas Island Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi on the 17th and 18th of May. An accredited pre-conference workshop on ‘Introduction to IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations)’ conducted by Katherine Perfetti of IBAC will be held on May 16.

Abu Dhabi Airports Company is also supporting the event and senior officials from Al Bateen Executive Airport will be stressing  the important role Abu Dhabi is playing in developing the business aviation sector in the region.

With Al Bateen Executive Airport being the region’s only dedicated private jet airport, the capital has witnessed steady growth from the general aviation sector through regional and international private charter service providers and other support organisations.

Brad Hariharan, Project Director for organiser Fleming Gulf, said: “This event is the first of its kind in the Middle East which will gather the cream of the business aviation community to tackle important issues within the region using case studies, panel discussions, special keynote addresses along with unmatched networking opportunities with key decision makers and industry leaders to give the participants an interactive, experience driven learning opportunity.”
