MEAC will highlight specific challenges related to Emiratisation, empowerment through training, skill development and education. Career progression, the latest trends in recruitment, and the important role of women in aviation and aerospace, will also be discussed.

MEAC will run in parallel with Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2016 at Al Bateen Executive Airport from the 8-10 March 2016. The event will be a part of Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week, which is held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

In collaboration with the Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies (GCAS), the three-day conference seeks to attract audiences from various schools and universities within the Emirate to engage them with the potentials and challenges of these dynamic industries. As a result of the massive growth in the aviation sector, the deployment of UAE Nationals in key positions will be a critical factor to its success.

“In the current climate, a high-value Careers Conference such as MEAC is the need of the hour,” said Ali Majed Al Mansoori, chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports. “It will provide the right kind of platform for career seekers and aims to be the premier international conference in the region, while positioning Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a pioneering knowledge based destination for innovation and excellence in the aerospace and aviation sectors.”

The conference will focus on providing opportunities for students to explore a wide variety of rewarding career choices in the aviation industry. It will feature a roster of respected aerospace and aviation experts from the UAE and around the world.
